We are currently seeking a Field Specialist for Store Operations



DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for providing flexible operational support to the Area Operations Manager and Store Manager through execution of daily operational activities within stores. Work location is determined by the Area Operations Manager within an established 20-30 store district. Under the direction of the Area Operations Manager/Performance Manager, the Field Specialist will be responsible for processing audits, store inventory preparation, new store set-ups, temporary supervision of store shifts on an as needed basis and may be eligible to become a Store Manager.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with Store Manager to ensure that store operating procedures and processes are in compliance with Family Dollar Store standards
  • Assists in store office setup and maintains log books in absence of the Store Manager
  • When directed, assists with staffing audits, store processes, and loss prevention functions and provides input on operational efficiency and process compliance
  • Provides support in Inventory Preparation and Delivery process functions
  • Promotes quality customer service
  • Acts as a resource to assist Store Manager; when working in a store, is directed by the Store Manager
  • Special assignments as required by the Area Operations Manager
  • Must be willing to accept promotion to Store Manager if available position is identified by Area Operations Manager

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 18 years of age or older Some High School education 3 months store management experience in retail, drug store, grocery, hard-lines, fast-food, variety, or general merchandise preferred Ability to travel locally up to 100% Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Able to perform all weekly delivery functions according to Company Guidelines Ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs (occasionally up to 55lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation Reliable and high personal integrity Action Oriented Customer Service Focused Proven organizational, communication, and problem solving skills Able to set priorities Process Management Application process may include a background check, drug testing, and reference checks.
